What is SQL Database in Fabric ?

SQL Database in Fabric

Microsoft announced Public Preview of a new feature called SQL Database in Fabric. This is a great feature but why?

Below here is my highlight of this feature.
1. You can spin up the database under Fabric Capacity and unified billing under the capacity model.
2. The data in the database is replicated and stored in onelake as delta format.
3. This will cut down lot of efforts in the ETL , reduce copying data into multiple storages.
4. You get 2 endpoints one for the database itself and another one for the replicated lakehouse.
5. It is optimised for AI.
6. Tenant Level network support for Private Link
7. Database secure using Microsoft Entra.

There may be few limitations on this feature which we will unearth as we go along.

The question is
Q: Should you avoid it, try it or adopt it?
